Dog walking in Nagpur
Nagpur : Going on a walk in Nagpur is a task. There are few places to have a walk at. The available ones are almost always crowded; a walk in peace is next to impossible without bumping into a fellow walker. The walk becomes a challenge when you have a dog accompanying you.
The Dog Phobia
Not everyone is accustomed to the proximity of a dog. Some find them cute but are afraid to get close to one, others outright hate them. In such scenarios, it becomes a struggle for a dog owner to take the dog for a walk in residential areas or parks. Most parks specifically have instructions to not allow dogs in the park, on the other hand, certain localities are not ok with a dog roaming around on their premises, loitering everywhere while the residents expect to take a walk in a safe and clean zone.
Lack of Dog Walking Facilities
This is where the need to have dog-walking zones become a glaring tease to dog owners. In a city such as Nagpur, where walking spaces are anyways limited, a place to walk the dog is hard to come by. The last resort left is to walk the dog on the side of the road which may be hounded by heavy traffic, hence proving risky for both the dog owners and the dog.
The Dog Haters and the Cynophobia
Some just love to hate dogs. They cannot stand the sight of a dog and are more than happy to either avoid them or harm them. They are the biggest troublemakers for a dog owner who would go to any extent to get rid of a dog in their vicinity even if the dog is causing no nuisance. Others who have Cynophobia, have a legitimate fear of dogs and try to get away from them, hence making another strong case for dedicated dog walking areas.
The Man’s Best Friend seems to be free only when it is a stray.
A domesticated dog is mostly kept on a leash in fear that it may run away or jump on strangers.
This is mostly due to the fact that there is no place where a dog owner can free their dog without the worry of it scaring the ones who either hate the animal or are fearful of it. The introduction of dog walking areas may solve all these problems and make the animal and human relationship harmonious.
